About You

You are an exceptional people leader who thrives in a work-from-home environment and excels at driving results. In this role, you will lead the delivery of innovative programs and initiatives across the Alliance’s project portfolio, fostering clear communication, inclusive teamwork, and the successful, on-time completion of all projects.

You are experienced in coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously, managing workload and workflow with ease, and keeping projects on track from start to finish. Your strong project management skills, combined with your ability to foster collaboration and maintain clear, consistent communication, enable you to deliver successful outcomes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

Autism Alliance of Canada is seeking a Program Manager to oversee its portfolio of national, multi-year projects and initiatives. The Program Manager will coordinate national partners and ensure the successful delivery of complex programs across the Alliance’s partnerships. This role encompasses research, partnership engagement, and knowledge mobilization to advance the Alliance’s mission.

In this role, you will apply your project management expertise, build strong partnerships, and lead initiatives that create meaningful impact. A key initiative under your leadership will focus on improving employment outcomes for youth with disabilities, with a strong emphasis on fostering inclusive opportunities in industries like manufacturing and construction.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a skilled communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment, champions equity and inclusion, and brings the project management expertise to deliver results across complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Monitoring projects through their lifecycle and implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Coordinate working groups, consultations, and meetings with partners, preparing agendas, materials, and follow-ups.
  • Attend and contribute to working group meetings with partner organizations.
  • Assist with gathering and integrating feedback from youth with disabilities and community partners.

Knowledge Mobilization 

  • Overseeing environmental scans and support literature reviews.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and best practice resources.
  • Promote project outputs across Alliance communications channels and partner networks.

Community and Partnership Engagement 

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with national partners, policymakers, employers, and community organizations.
  • Ensure meaningful participation of Autistic persons and families in every stage of the project.
  • Represent the Alliance at meetings, conferences, and events to expand project reach and impact.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track project milestones and deliverables aligned with workplans.
  • Provide updates and summaries for internal and external meetings, including quarterly progress report and budgets
  • Assist with sustainability planning and final project reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Disability Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Education, or Health).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in non-profit, research or social impact settings
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, multi-partnership projects with measurable results.
  • Experience in advocacy, public policy, accessibility, or employment equity is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of inclusive and ethical research practices, especially with neurodivergent populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Specialized Skills & Knowledge

  • Expert in managing multiple projects and initiatives, keeping priorities, budgets and timelines and on track
  • Skilled at translating research into accessible outputs that influence practice, policy and decision making
  • Strong relationship-builder, fostering trust and collaboration with national partners, and community organizations. 
  • Strong ability to synthesize research and data into actionable insights that drive results 
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, Slack and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Committed to accessibility, inclusion, and Autistic leadership across all aspects of work.
  • Solutions-oriented, with sound judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in dynamic, fast-changing environment

Language: Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
