During the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home has become the default practice for many; yet little is known about how individuals with disabilities engage in remote work from their homes. “Navigating Working from Home for Autistic Employees” is a project that was created to increase knowledge about the barriers faced by Autistic employees that are working remotely.
Led by Autism Alliance of Canada in collaboration with Ready, Willing & Able, the University of Washington – Bothell, and with the Ability Team at Microsoft Research, this animation video aims to disseminate knowledge of the challenges related to access, as well as recommended work-from-home practices of all employees, particularly for Autistic employees.
