On July 23, 2025, Siyu (Suzanna) Chen—recipient of the 3rd Jim and Ginette Munson Autism Leadership Award and longtime advocate—took the stage at the United Nations’ 2025 High-Level Political Forum to speak about inclusive employment in Canada. She was a panelist at Canada’s side event, moderated by Canada’s Minister of Jobs and Families, Honourable Patty Hajdu.
Nominated by Autism Alliance of Canada, Siyu brought key insights from conversations at the recent Canadian Autism Leadership Summit (CALS2025), including discussions on the importance of programs like Ready, Willing and Able.
This moment highlights how the stories, strategies, and priorities shared at Summit can help shape global conversations around inclusion and decent work for all.
Thank you to everyone who shows up, speaks out, and contributes to this shared effort.
Thank you to Minister Patty Hajdu and Employment and Social Development Canada for this opportunity.
