Policy Compendium

Autism Alliance of Canada’s Policy Compendium Tool is a collection of recommendations on key themes derived from the Autism Alliance of Canada-Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN) policy briefs. This online tool makes Autism Alliance of Canada’s policy work accessible and user-friendly. These recommendations can serve as a resource for decision-makers to engage in conversation about a National Autism Strategy and support efforts to improve the quality of life of Autistic people in Canada.

Funded by KBHN, Autism Alliance of Canada brought together diverse groups including Autistic persons, researchers, professionals, and supporters from across Canada. They formed Policy Development Working Groups to discuss and create practical policy suggestions regarding specific focus areas and themes related to autism. These groups, led by Autism Alliance of Canada-KBHN Policy Development Practicum Fellows, engaged in organized discussions to produce targeted policy briefs.

The purpose of these briefs is to assist the federal government in taking concrete and effective actions as they work towards putting Canada’s National Autism Strategy into practice.
