Developed in 2019 and 2020, the Blueprint for National Autism Strategy and the Roadmap for a National Autism Strategy were created to guide the development of a national autism strategy.

International Autism Policy Initiative

There is a global movement for countries to develop National Autism Strategies that support the needs of Autistic people and remove barriers to their full participation in society. The International Autism Policy Initiative will bring together Autistic people and experts from around the world that have already developed strategies in their own countries to build bridges, develop relationships, and learn from each other.

As an advocate for the rights of Autistic people, Autism Alliance of Canada has become involved in United Nations conferences and events, aimed at enhancing the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in countries across the world.

International Autism Policy Working Group

Part of: International Autism Policy Initiative

The International Autism Policy Working Group's goal is to push for rights-based policymaking that supports Autistic people and their families and let them take part in society fully. This group wants to increase awareness and share knowledge to make life better for Autistic people all around the world.
